Over 1,200 Gather at Grosvenor House for the IBIA Annual Dinner
More than 1,200 members of IBIA and their guests came together at the iconic Grosvenor House in London for the IBIA Annual Dinner, reaffirming its position as one of the most anticipated and established gatherings in the global marine fuels and shipping calendar.
Hosted at what has become the traditional home of the IBIA Annual Dinner, the evening brought together senior leaders, industry stakeholders, and long-standing partners for a night centred on connection, collaboration and shared purpose. As IBIA’s flagship networking event, the Dinner continues to provide a unique platform for the international bunker and maritime community to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas, and celebrate the collective progress of the industry.
In his opening remarks, Executive Director Alexander Prokopakis welcomed guests and reflected on the importance of maintaining strong industry dialogue during a period of transformation for marine fuels and shipping. He was joined by Constantinos Capetanakis, Chair of IBIA, and Adrian Tolson, Vice Chair, who each highlighted the value of collaboration and the role IBIA plays in bringing the global community together.
The evening was further honoured by an address from Arsenio Dominguez, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization, who shared perspectives on regulatory developments and the evolving path towards a more sustainable maritime future. A moment of reflection was led by Nigel Draffin, Honorary Treasurer of IBIA, who delivered the traditional toast to absent friends, acknowledging colleagues and industry figures who remain an important part of the community’s shared history.
IBIA extends its sincere thanks to all members, guests and industry partners whose continued support ensures the ongoing success of this flagship event. The strength of attendance once again demonstrated the importance of meaningful, in-person engagement in fostering progress and cooperation across the marine fuels sector.
The Association also recognises the valued contribution of its sponsors, whose support made the evening possible:
