Sean Burgin

Sean has been in the Shipping industry since 2004, working in various roles across Europe and most

recently the Middle East in both commercial and operations.

The experience has enabled Sean to understand how it can be when on the other side of the desk

with roles as a buyer, trader, physical and supply trading.

8 years at AP Moller Maersk included a role handling the groups bunker volume in Africa and

Europe at Maersk Oil Trading.

The dynamic bunker industry saw Sean work the other side in the ARA market for Gulf Petrochem

within the Trading/Physical team.

Since 2018 Sean is based in Dubai for Glander International Bunkering. The group are one of the

largest re-sellers of bunkers in the region where Sean is leading the Supply Trading team for the

group’s activities.

Sean is excited to be part of the new fuel transition where geographically the entrepreneurial

mindset of the region’s authorities will ensure the Middle East is at the forefront of decarbonisation

efforts.
