IBIA to provide bunker session and MFM workshop at Panama Maritime Conference in March
The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) will hold a one-day workshop on mass flow meter technology, and a conference bunker session, at the Panama Maritime XIII Conference and Exhibition taking place on 12-15 March, 2017.
This exclusive maritime networking event attracts regional and international market leaders. It will be special this year as Panama Maritime is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the world’s largest merchant marine registry, and the recent inauguration of the new Panama Canal locks.
IBIA will be holding a one-day mass flow meter workshop, which will provide delegates with an overview of mass flow metering, including how they work and the operational, commercial and efficiency benefits they are said to offer. It is aimed at bunker suppliers, ship owners, charterers, port authorities and bunker surveyors.
In addition, there will be an IBIA bunker session at the conference on Tuesday 14 March at 11 am featuring three speakers. IBIA Chairman and well-renowned marine industry consultant Robin Meech address the preparations and compliance options for the 0.50% sulphur cap implementation in 2020. There will also be a first-hand account of implementing mass flow metering technology, and a presentation covering bunkering industry market developments and a forecast to 2020.
