IBIA in Africa celebrates 137% increase in membership

Ibia in AfricaIBIA in Africa hosted its AGM in Cape Town on 12 April 2016. Led by Acting Chairman, Patrick Holloway of Weber Wentzel, the well-attended meeting reviewed the activities of the last year and set the priorities for the year ahead.

One of the most significant achievements has been growth in membership which has increased by 137% over the last year, with the biggest number coming from the Regional Forum held in Mauritius. The regional branch is also very pleased to have retained almost 100% of its existing, much valued members.

Looking ahead, IBIA in Africa is now focused on organising its next Regional Forum which will be held in Cape Town on 15-16 September at the Portswood Hotel, Granger Bay. Regional Manager Tahra Sergeant is in the process of meeting with local members to discuss the content, hot topics and priorities for this event.
