Attendance is complimentary.

As the maritime industry advances towards lower-carbon fuels, ethanol and methanol are gaining attention as potential pathways due to their global production scale, established supply chains, and compatibility with emerging multi-fuel engine technologies.

The Half-Day Workshop on Alcohol-Based Fuel Pathways for Shipping, organised by IBIA, Global Centre for Green Fuels (GCGF) and the Maritime Ethanol & Methanol Alliance (MEMA) during Singapore Maritime Week 2026, will bring together stakeholders across the fuel value chain.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to learn more about ethanol and methanol as marine fuels, while exploring practical considerations including fuel supply, infrastructure readiness, bunkering operations, safety frameworks, compliance requirements, and commercial deployment opportunities.
