Basic Bunkering Course available at the Oil & Shipping Africa Conference

IBIA in Africa will be running the association’s Basic Bunkering Course as part of The Oil & Shipping Africa Conference, in Maritime Week Africa, which runs from 27 – 30 June in Accra, Ghana.

Maritime Week Africa has been created to introduce international bunker suppliers, traders, brokers, ship operators and charterers to the leading West African regulators, bunker suppliers and shipping companies in order to generate new business and forge new commercial relationships.

Held in Accra, Ghana, this year’s event comprises the Oil & Shipping Africa conference and two specialist training courses, bringing first class knowledge and expertise to a region with enormous but still largely untapped potential.

IBIA’s one-day Basic Bunkering Course is designed for newcomers to bunkering. It covers all the basics, including technical, operations, environmental, commercial and legal issues, giving delegates a useful introduction to how the bunker industry works.

This course has now been taught at many locations around the world providing hundreds of industry newcomers with a valuable start point from which to launch their careers.
