Managing Director of Marine and Energy Consulting, an independent consultancy practice focusing on the transport of energy and with a particular interest in the bunker sector
His experience in environmental issues includes the preparation of a detailed impact statements on the changing sulphur legislation for private and government clients. He has assisted the Canadian Government in its consideration of introducing a Emission Control Area on the West Coast and was a member of the IMO correspondence group on air pollution, drafting MARPOL Annex VI. Prior to joining the board he was a member of the IBIA Council and has been associated with the organisation since its inception.
Much of his career, prior to establishing Marine and Energy Consulting in 2001 was spent with Arthur D Little, the international technical and management consultancy where he coordinated the energy logistics practice. He spent two years as director of a Norwegian tanker operator where his responsibilities included the purchase of bunkers as well as the commercial and technical operation of a pool of tankers.
Robin has a real ambition to increase the managerial skills in the bunker industry through the introduction of internationally recognised qualifications.
He is based in the UK.
