IBIA Elections 2018
Elections to the IBIA board of directors.
Prior to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday 19th February 2018 there will be an election to replace the members of the Board whose term of office will end on the 31st March 2018. These elections are an opportunity for IBIA members to seek election to the board and take part in the running of the Association. In the same way as the elected officers of the Association change, so do the Board members.
Members of IBIA are invited to propose candidates for election who in their opinion will make a meaningful contribution to the running of the Association. Prospective Board Members should be aware that being a Board Member is not just a titular position; they are expected to take an active part in the direction of the Association. Here are copies of the Responsibilities of IBIA Board Members and the Nomination Form 2018
Prospective candidates should also look at the Association’s Bye Laws , particularly Sections 14 (C), (D), (E) and (F) which deal with the election process.
Further information may also be obtained from Justin Murphy, the CEO.
Candidates for the election to the Board must:
- Consent to stand for election
- Be paid up members of the Association
- Be proposed and seconded by paid up Members of the Association
- Complete and return the nomination form
Completed forms must be delivered to the secretariat no later than Monday, 18th December 2017. Please return via email or by post:
