** This 1-time course in 2017 is for participants who have completed the Basic SS600, Enhanced SS600 but have YET to complete the MFM TR48 course in 2016.

Course Objectives

To help participants gain an enhanced working knowledge on the bunker delivery processes and procedures
Raise the standard of professionalism in the bunkering industry and improve workforce skills, competitiveness and employability
Provide the trained workforce with skills and industry recognised formal qualifications
Enhanced workers prospect for career advancement in the bunker industry through structured progression programme and pathway

Based on TR 48:2015
Refresher course on SS600:2014 and SS524:2014 which will include Personal Safety and video by CPIB
Personal Safety Awareness (including video on Safe Boarding of Vessels)
Video by CPIB (latest version)
Technical and operating principles of the Coriolis Mass Flow Meters
System Integrity, Sealing Requirements and Processes
Cargo Piping and Pumping System on Bunker Tankers
Mass Flow Meter Documentations, Delivery Processes and Procedures
Dispute Resolutions
Exercises, Case Studies and Assessment

Course Entry Requirements

At least 21 years of age and medically fit
Have a working knowledge of the English Language
MPA licensed Bunker Surveyors and Cargo Officers
Have attended and completed the 2 days SS600:2014 Enhanced Bunkering Course
(Surveyors and Cargo Officers will receive a Certificate of Completion)

MPA – Maritime Cluster Fund (MCF) Training Grant

90% Maritime Cluster Fund training grant is available for eligible participants.

Eligibility Criteria:

Training grant is only provided for MCF-approved courses (please log on to http://www.mpa.gov.sg/mcf for information on MCF-approved courses) and application must be submitted to the Course Provider before the commencement of the course;

Participants must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents;
Participants must be employees sponsored by business/organisations registered or incorporated in Singapore;
Participants must attain at least 75% attendance at the course; and
Business entities applying for the training grant for this course must not be receiving any other forms of financial training assistance [e.g. Skills Development Fund (SDF) or Skills Redevelopment Programme (SRP), etc.] administered by other government bodies e.g. WDA or NTUC, etc.
