Types of Membership
Corporate Membership
- Open to companies and associations actively engaged in the day-to-day business of bunkering ships.
- Each membership has one vote in association business, but corporate membership has the advantage of allowing companies to delegate different members of their company to participate in different working groups.
- Corporate Members receive three free issues of each publication and buyers can receive up to twenty issues of World Bunkering for supply to their vessels.
- Corporate members can send as many of their employees from their IBIA registered office on the Basic Bunkering Course. Employees are also eligible for significant discounts on all other seminars, conferences and intermediate courses.
- Entitled to book tables at the Annual IBIA Dinner (Individual members are restricted to six reservations inclusive).
- Allowed to display the IBIA logo on all stationary and business cards.
- Companies registered as Corporate members can register all their offices and contact details. The cost of Corporate membership is £550 per annum.
Individual Membership
- Open to both people actively involved in the day-to-day business of bunkering ships, and also to those with an interest in the Industry but without the closer involvement required for a corporate membership.
- Each membership carries one vote in association business. But this category of membership does not allow delegation.
- The membership is in 'their name' (although the company for which they work will also be listed alongside their membership details).
- Individual members receive one copy of each publication free.
- Only the named individual can attend the Basic Bunkering Course and receive the discounts offered to IBIA members on all other conferences and seminars. It is not allowed for the individual member to delegate another to attend these courses in their place.
- If the individual member moves company their membership in effect 'goes with them'.
- At the Annual IBIA Dinner individual members are restricted to six reservations inclusive
- Individual membership costs £110 per annum.
